Ok, the New Condo Market is Officially CRAZY!
Today I decided to take a quick peek to see what was going on in real estate on Craigslist... it's always a neat place to look at what's going on in the private side and to find out what other realtors are doing on there. So in the employment real estate section, I just caught the most mind boggling ad that I had to share with you...
Students Will Wait in Line for 1 Bloor Condos!
Two liberal arts undergrad students from University of Toronto will wait outside 1 Bloor condos sales office for any period(s) of time starting thursday nov 8 until the opening of the sales office on tuesday.
It is going to be cold, rainy and miserable outside, but we are young, healthy and too broke to buy books!
Pay is negotiable and can be daily or hourly.
Oh my word! Now that my friends is just too much. Maybe a bit of a signal that things are getting just a little carried away? Could be, but who knows for sure. With many of these new condo projects selling as fast as they come out, builders don't even have to build sales centres anymore! It's kind of interesting that there's all this money sitting around for investing and buying these new condos while at the same time, people keep complaining that the city is getting so unaffordable. Makes you wonder sometimes.
On the other hand, 1 Bloor East is quite a spectacular project don't you think?
Details on 1 Bloor East by Bazis International
Located at the south-east corner of Yonge & Bloor, 1 Bloor East will become the number one residential, retail & hotel address in Canada. Rising 80 storeys, 1 Bloor East features a glass and aluminum design with a retail mall and a condominium-hotel model that will see 132 hotel rooms on the first six floors and 564 residential units above. Each suite will feature multiple balconies, many with glass panels that will allow them to be closed off in colder months, to create outdoor rooms with spectacular views of the city & lake. 1 Bloor will become a stunningly elegant new corner of Toronto's version of Fifth Avenue.
With the hot new condo market we've got going in Toronto, these students can probably make a decent job out of lining up at sales centres. Two thumbs up for being resourceful and opportunistic - you have to pay for those books somehow.
