Social Life... and Real Estate!
I was invited out to a Winterlicious dinner at Flow last evening (to replace someone who cancelled) by a long time friend of mine. I accepted to his suprise as he admitted that he sent the invitation with the expectation that I would refuse due to my recent history of being "busy" all the time. So this is the perception people have of me these days huh?
Well, I guess I can't really blame them.
The other week I was scheduled to have a catch-up-sleep-over with the girls, but due to social obligations and a pending real estate deal, I kinda turned our little party into a short and late night Beauty & the Geek watching fest that left something to be desired.
I was invited to two parties that evening, one of which was a friends birthday party and was where my client that I had put in an offer to buy a condo was at. The other was a housewarming party of a past client (who I sold the place to) that I really just couldn't miss. So I tried to juggle all these things on a bumping Friday night and managed to do not so well on all fronts. It's hard man!
When the girls finally got back to my place and we were ready to spill the beans and vent, I got the call from the other agent saying that the deal was finally signed back at the price we wanted so off I was to go get the deal done. I jumped in my car & went to the bar my partially intoxicated client was at and got the deal signed in the lobby... as I was happily making a mad dash to my illegally parked car, I ran into some other friends smoking outside who tried to take up two minutes of my time - which I couldn't even spare! Upon leaving, one of them said they would have slept with me for what I had just made off the deal I signed... how nice huh? LOL.
Anyway, my girlfriends were pretty much sleeping by the time I got back at 1:30am. I don't think they were too pleased with me even though they knew I had to do what I had to do - we'll be rescheduling I hope!
Anyway, I got side tracked there... back to my Winterlicious dinner... wait, what was I saying again? Oh god, that's another problem in itself. I always have a million things going on all at once that I think I'm losing my mind! Do this, go there, book that, find this, complete that, try this, use that, look there... UGGG!! If anything, this business has clearly showed me that super duper organization is NOT my forte, even though it really has to be in this business. Good thing I have my assistant and business partner! WHEW!
Ummm... well, I think I forgot what I was going to say, so that's it for now. For those of you who are curious, the dinner was yummy.![]()

Dinner was good, company was better.
heh heh. I too have molded a perception amongst others that I am *busy* all the time - or better put, *working* all the time. *sigh* it's a tough life indeed. =S
