Just One of Them Days...
... that a girl goes through. Boy, today ranked pretty high on the bad day meter. I guess that's what a severe lack of sleep does to you. It makes you lose your mind!
Lose my mind I did today. I had to wake up pretty early to make it to my company, Coldwell Banker Terrequity Realty's Annual Breakfast of Champions Awards Ceremony this morning and had a late evening the night before. Thus, I wasn't functioning properly (on a happier note, we cleaned house at the awards with Otto winning 7 awarads including pretty much all the gold eagles).
So when it rains, it pours and I'm drenched! Here's my sequence of events:
- forgot my coat and scarf at the conference centre (ended up finding it and getting it back)
- lost my keys (ended up finding that too later)
- lost my phone (ended up finding it also and then I dropped it, the batteries came flying out but luckily it's still working)
- forgot to bring a client file with me and only realized it after i was 10 minutes away from the office (i had to swing back and get it and ended up arriving a little late but on my way. see below...)
- got pulled over by a cop for driving the wrong way on a one way street (yes, i was keeping it real as an asian female driver - no, more like i was on my cell and wasn't paying attention because i had missed my turn and just took the next one right away while i was talking on the phone without thinking... luckily Mr. Police officer was nice and gave me a big fat warning)
- have clients that have "fallen in love" with a house that will probably go into a multiple offer (I guess this isn't something I should be sad about, but it is saddening that we have to bid on everything now! It's in the High Park / Parkdale area - nice house... really nice house actually. Offers on Thursday doesn't give us much time to get a home inspection and it's probably going to go well over the asking price. We'll see what happens... I'll keep you posted!)
I think I better go to bed before anything else happens... or maybe I might even forget to sleep! Nah, I'm just too tired to forget that. G'nitey nite nite...
