HELP (seriously) WANTED

We've heard it so many times before that it's cliche, but it's probably a cliche because it's true.  Nobody is perfect.  It's highly unlikely to have one person that is super duper at anything and everything, which is why I think we spend our lives seeking compliments.    In life, it can be that one person or it can be multiple people that each fill in different pieces of the puzzle that make us whole.

Precisely why Otto and I joined forces to form the ThinkTorontoHomes.com Real Estate Team.  I can honestly say that we are completely complimentary in our skill sets as they relate to the business and our positioning in terms of tenure, backgrounds and demographics.  It's pretty close to 100% win-win for the two of us as partners which is great!

Of course any merger has it's challenges.  Since joining forces, our team has been changing, adapting and embracing the new way of doing business in real estate.  We've tried things that have worked and things that haven't.  We've agreed on some fronts, but disagreed on others.  We've created systems that have streamlined our work and some that have caused inefficiencies.  We've been learning and continue to learn.  It's not easy to say the least.

We work hard.  Really, really, really hard.  16+ hour days are commonplace for us and our stress levels are through the roof at times.  Someone asked me before why it is that I work so much and why I just don't try to take it easy a little... you know, live a little because life isn't all about work and money.  I totally agree, but believe me, it's not even about the money.  No money is worth the mind, body and life rape this business can take on you.  Real Estate Agents don't really get much respect and everyone thinks our life is a walk in the park, which really pisses me off because they have NO IDEA.

Perhaps I'm speaking from a bias frame of mind because our business is a little more high impact given our aggressive and high expectations for success, but I can't be sure.  All I know is that I sometimes feel like a rat in a wheel and that the constant spinning will have no end... you can never, ever be finished all there is to do... well, until I fall off the wheel at least.  It's almost like you're a slave to yourself and your clients, but you can't stop yourself.  You have to love what you do and what you do for people to help make it through the days because most of the time, success comes at the expense of you.  Damn me for being in love.

After many long days and nights and pressure and stress, it's time for us to let go a little bit and admit that we need serious help.  Sarah, our part time "just in time" assistant no longer has the flexibility to put in the hours that we need, which is sad, but necessary for us to take the next step in realizing that we've grown out of our diapers and need some talent to make our growth possible and our lives easier.  It's hard to hire someone and there's a fine line between cost vs. benefit, but we've got to take the chance.

Help us help us... I'm ok if it takes the hours down to 12 a day, so if you or anyone you know is looking for an exciting marketing & admin role, please keep us in mind.
