Greeting Earthlings...
... no, I didn't get abducted by aliens, but close enough. As usual, I've been crazy busy since the Mortgage Financing course was completed (I only got 92% wheeee!). In the meantime, things have been changing rapidly and dramatically here at ThinkToronotoHomes.com – the best thing being that Elaine has recently joined our team as our Sales and Marketing Coordinator - welcome Elaine!
Ahhh... so now you see, as a result of our new addition, business as usual, a reno project on the side, and an attempt to have a life, I haven't had too much time to update. People seem to have more respect and want to work with a busy agent and/or team and for good reason – in this business it’s not how long an agent has been in business but how much business the agent has done. Given that we need help, it obviously means we’re doing business or else we wouldn’t be able to afford to hire!
On the other hand, in this crazy real estate agent life, just because you’re “busy” doesn’t mean you’re making money. .. and the worst part, you can be spending lots of money, time and energy with the wrong people and doing the wrong things. Then undoubtedly, you can just get shafted sometimes, which really does suck. You don’t even want to know how many times we’ve worked with seller’s who end up selling privately to their neighbour or superintendent the day before we were supposed to ink the listing, or buyers that use you to take them around all over the place and find the one they want only to buy it with their relative agent that just got into the business, and then there are the stories of situations changing. Hard pills to swallow, but c’est la vie.
It’s a fast paced and unpredictable world that won’t sit still or wait... soooo I will do my best to write and update more, but no promises. Just as everyone who is close to me has had to learn... BUSINESS FIRST... as this my friend, is real estate.
